Insurance Classification.

Most insurance companies use the FPC (Fire Protection Classification) rate to establish fire insurance rates for your home or business. The Washington Survey and Rating Bureau sets the FPC rating based on risk factors and the abilities of the fire department. In fall of 2020, the Washington Survey and Rating Bureau re-evaluated the district with the following results:

Beginning May 1, 2021, if you live within 5 road miles of Station 61 or Station 64 and are in an area served by water from the cities of Olympia, Lacey, or Tumwater (you pay a water bill to them), your rating is a 3.

If you  live within 5 road miles of Station 61 or Station 64 and do not have a hydrant, your rating is a 5

Properties within 5 road miles of Station 65 have a rating of a PC9A, and properties within 5 road miles of Station 62 have a rating of a 9. This rating increase is due to the decrease in the number of volunteers responding from their neighborhoods within 5 road miles of those two stations.
